Custom Sheet Labels
Custom sheet labels manufactured on A4, A5 or custom-size backing sheets for easy hand application, sampling and multiple-SKU packaging. Choose paper, BOPP, PET, clear or metallized materials, permanent or removable adhesives, custom kiss-cut shapes, printed finishes and layouts planned around your required labels per sheet.
Custom Sheet Labels for Easy Hand Application
Custom sheet labels are supplied as multiple kiss-cut labels on a flat backing sheet. Each label can be peeled individually while the surrounding matrix and release liner keep the sheet organized, making this format convenient for hand application, product samples, short production runs, seasonal packaging and multiple-SKU orders.
SZKAYU manufactures printed label sheets in A4, A5 and custom sheet sizes with paper, film, clear and specialty materials. Label size, shape, spacing, adhesive, printing, finish and layout are developed around the package, application surface and workflow. For broader product-label capabilities, see our custom printed labels.

Sheet Sizes and Label Layouts
A4 and A5 Label Sheets
A4 and A5 are practical formats for storage, counting, packing and hand application. The actual printable area depends on sheet margins, label shape, spacing and finishing. We arrange the layout to balance easy peeling, material use and the customer’s preferred number of labels per sheet.
Custom Sheet Dimensions
Custom backing-sheet sizes can be developed for workstations, packing trays, sample kits or a specific carton. Tell us the maximum sheet dimensions and how operators will hold, stack and apply the labels.
Labels per Sheet and Application Order
Labels may be arranged in rows, columns or nested patterns. A consistent orientation can help operators apply labels faster and reduce mistakes. Where several parts belong to one package, front, back, lid and seal labels can be grouped on the same sheet in the required sequence.
Margins, Gaps and Corner Radius
Sheet margins provide handling space and protect labels near the edge. Label gaps and corner radius influence cutting, peeling and edge lifting. We recommend practical spacing based on the finished size, face material, adhesive and shape.
Kiss-Cut and Sheet Construction
Kiss-Cut Labels on a Backing Sheet
Kiss cutting passes through the face material and adhesive without cutting through the release liner. Cut depth must be controlled so labels peel cleanly while the backing sheet remains intact. Excessive cutting can weaken the liner; insufficient cutting may cause tearing or difficult removal.
Matrix Options
The waste matrix can remain on the sheet or be removed according to the design and packing method. Matrix removal makes label edges easier to see and peel, while leaving the matrix may protect complex shapes or support certain counting requirements.
Release Liner and Sheet Flatness
A stable release liner helps sheets stay flat during printing, cutting, counting and storage. Material construction, lamination, ink coverage and environmental humidity can affect curl. Finished sheets should be packed flat and protected from excessive heat or moisture.
Materials and Adhesive Options
- Coated paper: economical for dry products, boxes and general retail labeling
- Uncoated or textured paper: suitable for natural, craft and premium branding
- White BOPP or PET: provides improved moisture and handling resistance
- Clear film: supports transparent graphics and no-label-look designs
- Metallized film: provides a reflective base for premium packaging
- Permanent adhesive: selected for lasting adhesion to the specified surface
- Removable adhesive: supports temporary identification or clean removal
- Application-specific adhesive: considered for refrigeration, tight curves, low-surface-energy plastics or other challenging surfaces
Container material, coatings, curvature, contamination and application temperature can all affect adhesion. Testing on the actual package is recommended when the surface or service environment is demanding.
Printing and Finishing Options
- Full-color CMYK and Pantone spot-color matching
- Opaque white ink for clear or metallic materials
- Gloss, matte and soft-touch lamination or protective varnish
- Foil stamping, metallic effects and selective spot UV
- Embossing or debossing where the construction allows
- Round, oval, rectangular and custom die-cut shapes
- Barcodes, QR codes, sequential numbers and variable data
- Multiple designs sharing one common sheet specification
Applications for Printed Label Sheets
- Cosmetic jars, candles, soap and personal-care products
- Food jars, bakery boxes, coffee bags and sample packaging
- Supplement bottles, laboratory samples and health products
- Retail bags, envelopes, promotional kits and event packaging
- Shipping cartons, inventory identification and warehouse labels
- Prototype packaging and market-testing projects
- Front, back, lid and tamper-seal label sets
For labels that need to be supplied as individual contour-cut pieces rather than on sheets, see our custom die-cut stickers.
Artwork and Multiple-SKU Planning
Vector artwork is preferred for logos, fine text, die lines and specialty finishes. Images should be supplied at suitable resolution, and fonts should be outlined or included. Clearly identify the cut line, bleed, white ink, foil, spot UV, barcode and variable-data layers.
Several SKUs can often share the same sheet layout when label size, material, adhesive and finish are identical. Send the quantity for each artwork so we can calculate the sheet count and arrange production efficiently. If label dimensions vary, we can recommend separate layouts or a grouped custom sheet.
Factory-Printed Sheets and Blank Printer Sheets
Our standard custom sheet labels are supplied fully printed and finished. They are not automatically suitable for laser, inkjet or thermal overprinting. If customers need blank areas for later printing, handwriting or date coding, the overprint method, ribbon or ink, heat exposure and printable surface should be confirmed before material selection.

When to Choose Sheets, Rolls or Individual Labels
Choose Sheet Labels
Sheet labels are ideal for hand application, short runs, sample products, seasonal designs and multiple labels that need to stay together as a set.
Choose Roll Labels
Roll labels are generally better for dispensers, semi-automatic equipment and automatic labeling lines. They can also be faster for high-volume hand application. See our custom roll labels.
Choose Individual Die-Cut Labels
Individual labels or stickers are useful for promotional distribution, inserts, giveaways and applications where a backing sheet or roll is not convenient.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between sheet labels and roll labels?
Sheet labels are arranged on flat backing sheets and are convenient for hand application and short runs. Roll labels are better suited to dispensers and automatic or higher-volume application.
Can you make A4 and A5 label sheets?
Yes. We also manufacture custom sheet sizes. Finished layout depends on label size, shape, margins, spacing and the required number of labels per sheet.
Can different designs be placed on one sheet?
Yes. Several designs or a complete front-and-back label set can share one sheet when material and finishing requirements are compatible.
Can sheet labels be waterproof?
Film materials and suitable protective finishes can provide better moisture resistance than unprotected paper. Adhesive and package surface must also match the expected environment.
Can I print additional information on the labels later?
Possibly, but the later printing method must be specified before production. Laser, inkjet, thermal transfer, direct thermal and handwriting require different surfaces and constructions.
Can you produce custom shapes?
Yes. Round, oval, rectangular and complex custom profiles are available. Shape, corner radius and spacing are reviewed for clean cutting and peeling.
Do you provide samples before production?
Sample options depend on size, material, adhesive, printing and finishing requirements. Send representative packaging when adhesion or sheet handling needs to be evaluated.
