Roll Specifications for Labeling Machines
Each roll can be produced with a specified core diameter, maximum outside diameter, gap, liner width and labels per roll. Winding direction can be matched to the applicator so the label dispenses in the correct orientation. Please provide your machine drawing or winding-direction requirement when requesting a quotation.
Label Winding and Unwind Direction
To make sure the rolls work correctly on your labeling equipment, please confirm the unwind direction before production. When looking directly at the printed face of the label, identify which edge must leave the roll first:

Please also confirm whether the printed label face should be wound outside or inside the roll. Because position numbers such as “unwind direction 1–8” may differ between machine manufacturers and label suppliers, we recommend sending a marked direction drawing, labeling-machine diagram or sample roll with your order.
